Kalfiefees 2012 celebrates the birth of the baby whales in the Overberg

Posted Thu, 26 Jul 2012 (2 years ago)
Schulphoek Seafront Guest House sent us a reminder about the up-coming Kalfiefees...

Like its big sister the Hermanus Whale Festival, the annual Kalfiefees in the same part of the Cape Whale Coast is connected to the Southern Right whales that come to calve in the waters off the Overberg each winter.

The Kalfiefees offers a varied program including:

  • Discussion program
  • Women's Day celebration
  • Dramatic and comic theatre
  • Children’s entertainment
  • Light (pop) and classical music
  • Book show
  • Delicious food

The opening on the evening 8 August will be something special.  Besides a delicious 3-course menu by Warwick's Chef School, entertainment will be provided.
