Market Monday - REEA River Market in Joburg

This new market is held at the last remaining urban farm in Joburg. Lots to see, do, buy and eat at this family friendly venue!

Follow the sun every Saturday to the REEA River Market.

Bring the whole family, walk the dogs and then come in for refreshment. There is plenty for the children to do, so that you do not have to worry about them in this safe environment.

This market boasts one of the most amazing locations in Jozi, at the last remaining urban farm.  There are stables, where the children can have a ride with an experienced trainer alongside. At the organic vegetable garden you can purchase fresh produce in season.

Sit in the garden of tranquility and listen to the river wending its way north, whilst sipping a glass of chilled wine and enjoying the exceptional food under the rustling trees. They also offer a micro brewery tasting.

The market opens early to welcome cyclists and joggers, with an fesh cup of coffee and a breakfast, healthy muesli and yoghurt, or fried eggs and bacon with a grilled tomato.

Past the stables you will find a selection of craft and clothing, both modern and vintage.

Future plans for this new market include Thai Chi and yoga in the early mornings. Bring your yoga mat with you on Saturdays and make an arrangement with your teachers for the rest of the week.
