We stayed one night on Sat 14th Jan and it was delightful - a very warm welcome from Bits Quin, then drinks with them both on the stoep where Ted showed us a nesting pair of Paradise Flycatchers just above our heads! Then an excellent dinner, lovely wine, and a very comfortable night's sleep.
Lovely generous breakfast before we left for Joburg next morning, but wishing we could have stayed a few more days to soak up the atmosphere of this lovely farm and hear more of Ted's stories about his life rearing his Frieslander herd, and also his extensive knowledge of the wonderful bird life all around.
An absolute joy.......!
