Hortensia Lodge - Guest Feedback

Hortensia Lodge is a very beautiful place to stay and even one of the best we had during our 4 weeks South Africa trip. The room was very big, clean and nicely decorated. The surroundings were also carefully prepared. Rolf, the owner, gave us an interesting overview over Hermanus such that we could pick out interesting stuff for us. Be careful when going to whale watching by boat - we both got seasick. Maybe ask Rolf first if the sea will be fine. - Anonymous

Hortensia Lodge, Hermanus, We stayed at Hortensia Lodge in Feb. this year and over the last 14 years have stayed often in Jan/ Feb.and the standard of accommodation and breakfast has always been consistently high.The bedrooms are spacious and airy, the breakfast more than adequate and there is a large, very comfortable lounge for the sole use of guests. The swimming pool is clean and sparkling and the gardens carefully maintained. We are always happy to recommend Hortensia to our friends. - Anonymous

When visiting Hermanus last month I had the good fortune to find Hortensia Lodge.

It is brilliantly situated, only a short walk to town or to the beach.
After a day spent at the beach or seeing the many marvels of Hermanus I got back to the comfort of my cozy, bright room at the lodge.
The garden is spectacular with all the hortensias, spacious and beautifully kept and the large pool just adds to the pleasure of spending time there.
The staff is efficient and helpful. Guests have the personal attention of the owner, he is always helpful and extremely knowledgeable about all Hermanus has to offer, be it art galleries or the many beautiful nature spots.
