Like Home Bed and Breakfast - Guest Feedback

We stayed for three nights in Like Home and from the minute we arrived to the minute we departed our stay was delightful. Lena and her staff make you so comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for them.. We were travelling with friends and one of them was unwell. Lena made sure that everything was done to make her comfortable whilst she was unwell including making special food for her..
The B&B is located in a splendid residential area with immaculate manicured gardens and a crystal clear swimming pool. Lots of comfortable shaded siting areas and an abundance of wild birds feeding by the pool.
Excellent breakfast served under the thatched terraced area with particularly good coffee.
Our room (which is also a self catering room) was huge with a fully fitted modern kitchen at one end ,a dinning table in the middle and a lovely comfortable big bed at the other end. A huge balcony overlooking the gardens and the pool is accessed from double doors from the bedroom. We stayed in a number of 5 Star Guest Houses/B&Bs during our trip to South Africa and have a 5 Star B&B ourselves and it is beyond me why Lena's outstanding B&B is currently only at 4 Star Rating.. Whatever the star rating we could not have been welcomed and treated any better anywhere we have been. Great place.

We stayed for 3 nights at Like Home Self Catering, the place is so clean clean its beautiful and nicely decorated in a modern way, Lena the owner is so friendly and welcoming you do not feel that you away from home because you are free to do anything they have a nice clean jaccuzi, a clear blue pool the rooms have airconditioner, dstv, wi-fi network. Everthing is perfect there you cannot be short of anything cause Lena will make sure you get everything you need with a smile

"This is what a BnB is supposed to be like." From the moment you walk into the Like Home BnB you feel like a King. Its established class can't help but rub off on you, and when I mean class I don't mean the fake snobbery attitude. You feel like you've stepped back in time when living life meant enjoying a cocktail and the lively art of conversation. This BnB was absolutely wonderful. I received helpful and friendly information from Lena the hostess who helped with my bags up, and on the way out the door. My loft apartment was so "cozy" but you're in Durban so who wants to stay in the room? It's beautifully appointed, great towels and robe in the bathroom and plenty of fluffy pillows. Beautiful relaxing area outside on the balcony with my own gas braai and hammock to relax and swing on after a days work. The bar downstairs was EXCELLENT!!!! Don't miss out staying at the Like Home if you want to truly enhance your Kwazulu experience. After staying there I get why the Durbanites love their city so much. I cannot rave enough and will definitely stay there again!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Lena. I will be back! -

Hope you're well and have had plenty of guests since our brief visit. Sorry its been a while in coming but here's a copy of my note to Chris Brothers. He's the ticket and tour agent in Cape Town who secured our tickets for the cricket matches we came to see in CapeTown and Jo Burg. We hope soemthing good comes of this.

Thank you so much for the brilliant reception you gave Lynn and I. As we approach the end of our tour, we've voted "Like Home" the best place we have stayed in South Africa...........just lovely!
