I frequently travel the N1 between Cape Town and will in future make Mieliefontein my preferred stopping place.

Sundowners on the verandah overlooking one of the most beautiful gardens you will find anywhere. A real green oasis in the brown scrubby Karoo. Warm hospitality, good food around a communal dinner table.

After arriving I took my mountain bike for a spin around a tiny section of the 12000 hectare spread. I saw herds of springbok, ground squirrals, mongooses, Blue Cranes etc etc.
