Phophonyane Falls Eco Lodge - Guest Feedback

I stayed at Phophonyane Falls Lodge almost a year ago and I am still recommending and telling friends about my wonderful stay there!
It was very memorable and certainly stands out from the typical places.
It was a surprise holiday destination which I had booked for my boyfriend and I consequently I was quite anxious that it would be as it is on the website and not let me down, I think I called them and emailed them half a dozen times with every imaginable question to double check everything!
It wasn't necessary at all, it was magical. A very special tucked away retreat. It lived up to and exceeded my expectations!
There isn't high levels of awareness of Phophonyane amongst the general public which is good in that it makes it a special and unspoilt particularly as it isn't a typical destination that appeals to everyone but it almost feels like a disadvantage as well as I'd like to share this beautiful destination with everyone.
Spread the word, this place is wonderful. A hidden gem.

The prices may look higher than your average B&B but you are paying for the location, atmosphere, scenery, food, service and unique styled accommodation. Go for it!

The owner Rod is informative, present and welcoming. Rod is one of those visionary people to create a place like this in a forest like surroundings.

All the staff are helpful and friendly.
The food is fantastic and they are very accommodating with vegetarians.
The road to the park doesn't require a 4X4 and it is easily located from Piggs Peak.
The trails are well marked and beautiful.
Look for the bushbabies, small animals and birds on the trails.

We stayed in cottage three but we looked at the beehives and luxury tents and they are also really great.

We were there in summer after heavy rains when the waterfall was in flood. It looks stunning.

It was my first experience of Swaziland and a very positive one.
To summarise: it was brilliant, fantastic, magic.
I wish I was back there now. -
