umSisi House - Guest Feedback

We stayed at umSisi House for over 2 weeks on a family holiday. We used it as a base for day trips to visit all the attractions in Mpumalanga and for days out in the Kruger National Park. The house is very comfortable with all new facilities and endless hot water provided by the solar water heaters. We were able to choose all our meals and the times we would like them - a great bonus with 3 young children. The food was fresh, delicious and very well cooked by Paddy. We also enjoyed all the wines which had been chosen to compliment the food and with our personal preferences in mind.
Amanda helped to organise any bookings and days out that we had in mind and was full of suggestions of where to go and what to do. In 17 days we were never short of entertainment, even on the days we decided to stay in and lounge around the pool. Paddy and Amanda were excellent hosts and we are looking forward to a return trip.

umSisi House is a very special place and an inviting home perfect for holiday with family and friends. As owners and hosts - Amanda, Paddy (and their staff) pay attention to every detail and, as a result, have created a unique lodging and dining environment that stands out even among the best lodges, guest houses and hotels in the region. Plan for a three night stay (minimum!) and allow Amanda and Paddy to take care of your safari bookings inside the Kruger Park and have them organize other activities in the area. Meals are exceptional and creatively prepared by Paddy and Amanda and their selection of wine is impressive. Simply put, umSisi House is a "must stay".

The staff at umSisi are absolutely lovely, keeping the house and cottage clean and tidy and doing any laundry that you have. They were polite and cheerful every day and always had time for a chat.

The ages in our group ranged from 15 - 50 and everybody loved the experince just as much. We can't possibly stress how wonderful our stay was at umSisi House. Go and see for yourself!!

Amanda and Paddy are some of the best hosts in Southern Africa, having been on one of their safaris with them and stayed in the Lodge that they previous managed visitors are in for a real treat. They have a knack for excellent interior design, wonderful views and an delicious food and wine. They both understand Africa and all that it means and with their deep knowledge of the bush anyone venturing into the Kruger will benefit from their expertise. We as a family have already booked for February and will use it as a base for our whole family to explore this wonderful area.
