How the Booking Process Works
1) Find your accommodation using the search
(Search by area, price, Portfolio Guide, Portfolio Icon
Classification,
or ANY other feature!)
2) Make an instant enquiry directly with the establishment
(Your message gets delivered instantly via e-mail and mobile
telephone!)
3) Receive your personal reply and quote.
(directly from the establishment via e-mail )
4) Accept the quote and pay a deposit online securely with your
credit card.
If you do not wish to accept the quote, either re-enquire or simply
reject the quote
5) Your accommodation is booked!

Overview of bookings
Your enquiry is sent directly to the proprietor of the
establishment, who will personally reply to you ( via e-mail ) with a quote.
Messages are sent using e-mail and mobile messaging. Portfolio will ensure that
you get your quote as soon as possible (typically within a day). When you have
received your quote and reply, you will be able to make a payment to secure
your booking, decline the quote, or re-enquire with the proprietor.

What happens to my new enquiry after I submit it?
Portfolio sends your enquiry directly to the establishment with which you
have enquired. The establishment then personally answers and quotes on your
enquiry. You receive your reply via e-mail.
Do I get a quote from the establishment?
Yes. The establishment must give you a quoted price, unless they cannot cater
for your requirements ( no availability, etc. ).
How do I secure my booking?
When you receive your quote via email, you can secure your booking on the
Portfolio website by paying the requested deposit.
How is payment made?
Payment is made with your credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express or
Diner's Club). You can pay online and receive a receipt immediately or you can
send us your credit card details by e-mail or fax and we will charge your card
for you. Online payments are completely secure and safe.
Who receives my money?
The deposit is transacted into Portfolio's bank account and electronically
switched over into the establishment's account. The balance of payment is
settled between you and the establishment at the establishment's discretion.

How can I communicate with the establishment directly?
By clicking "Enquire Now" you can ask any questions, including
accommodation availability, special requests, general information, etc. Your
questions are answered directly by the accommodation establishment. Also, we
release the establishment's contact details ( email, telephone, etc. ) once you
have paid the deposit for your booking. You can then communicate with them
directly.
What happens if I want to cancel my booking?
Please notify the establishment as soon as possible. Each accommodation
establishment has their own terms of cancellation which are displayed before
you pay your deposit.
Do I get a receipt after paying?
Yes. We display an electronic receipt on your browser which you can print out
as proof of your payment and your booking. We also e-mail you your receipt.
How do I settle the rest of my bill if I only pay the deposit?
Portfolio only processes the initial booking payment to secure the booking. You
must settle the remainder of your bill directly with the establishment.
