Bushwillow is located near to Hluhluwe on the Elephant Coast, KwaZulu Natal. Set in Kuleni Game Park, which can be explored on self-guided walking trails, guests will spot plenty of wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, and other ‘safe’ game setting the mood for the “Big 5” at Hluhluwe Imfolozi or the Isimangaliso Wetland Park. Or for the less energetic, simply relax on the expansive decks or on hot summer days sit in the plunge-pool and view game that passes by and visits the cunningly hidden small waterhole. The uniquely styled forest-green chalets blend into the bush perfectly and the air-conditioned bedrooms are peaceful and private. The large sliding windows and doors that wrap around the bedrooms allow guests full view of the bush and guests are often visited in the early morning by giraffe at their window! The bedrooms link by wooden boardwalks to the main lodge area with spacious lounge, dining and kitchen area and foldaway doors that open on to the large pool deck, which makes for a great sociable living area. There is no TV or DVD, just the peace of the bush, books to read and board games in the cupboard.

Languid breakfasts which often turn to brunch are served on the deck or eucalyptus dining room table. Tasty 3-course home-cooked dinners prepared in full view of the guests in the well-equipped kitchen with granite worktops allows for a personal touch. Guests who prefer to self cater can reserve the lodge for exclusive use.

This owner-managed lodge offers a very personal service, and hosts its guests to ensure that they have the best bush experience that the area can offer.
