Set under the shade of age-old oak trees in a large landscaped parklike garden, this historic 170-year-old residence is characterised by olde worlde charm and relaxed hospitality. The original homestead offers six cosy quaint bedrooms, the second house has four bedrooms and one upstairs studio. All rooms differ in style and character and include heaters, tea trays, a carafe of sherry, TV with M-Net, WiFi and some have DSTV, underfloor heating and air-conditioning. Farmstyle breakfasts are served on the patio or in a cheerful sunny room with an old Dover stove and views of the lush garden. Conference venue for 35 guests. In the heart of George, ideal for leisure or business travellers. Stroll to restaurants. Many well-known golf courses nearby.

Directions from the N2 main road
take the York Street off ramp. Travel up York Street to where you get to a large traffic circle in front of the George Museum. Turn left at the circle towards Oudtshoorn and then right into Caledon Street. Die Waenhuis Guesthouse is situated at 11 Caledon Street.
Directions from Oudtshoorn
Coming into George, keep to the left (Davidson Road) where the Road forks at the George Hospital. The fourth road to your left is Caledon Street. Die Waenhuis Guesthouse is situated at 11 Caledon Street.
