DESCRIPTION

In the hidden valley of the early wagon-makers, the country road winds alongside a meandering river past historic homesteads and through indigenous forests to the beautifully restored Grand Dédale on Doolhof Wine Estate. This impressive Cape Dutch homestead dates back to the 1700s, but has been elegantly transformed into a sophisticated and contemporary country house. Set amidst 380 hectares of breathtaking mountain scenery, vineyards and forests, being the last estate on a cul-de-sac, tranquillity and privacy are guaranteed.

A warm welcome sets the scene offering 21st century comfort and technology. Interiors reflect light, with spacious romantic rooms decorated with style and dressed with the finest linen. A thatched stone cottage offers additional privacy for honeymooners or couples.

Cap Classique breakfasts, light lunches, teas and delicious three-course table d’hôte dinners are served on the large verandah or pool deck. Spacious entertainment areas and large landscaped gardens with a 15-metre pool invite privacy and relaxation. Be pampered in the Wellness room for invigorating and stress-relieving massages.
