Description |
Rosenhof Country House, a charming Victorian homestead, is on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn, en route to the Cango Caves and ostrich farms. Built in 1852 and beautifully restored, the original yellowwood beams and ceilings are enhanced by a tasteful collection of antique furniture and fine art. The lovely rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name, leads to stylishly decorated bedrooms, each individually furnished. All rooms include air-conditioning, satellite television, telephone, mini bar and tea tray. Two spacious executive suites each have their own pool, lounge and patio, with tranquil views of the Swartberg Mountain. Relax in several luxury sitting rooms. A new addition is the Art Gallery in the old Wagon House which showcases original artworks from well-reputed South African artists. In summer, cool down in the pool or take tea in the manicured gardens. Traditional country cuisine with a cordon bleu touch and an extensive wine collection make dining an unforgettable experience.
