Description |
(Location: Between Sabie and Hazyview) Travelling through a magical forest you will find Timamoon, the most seductive lodge on the planet. It has its own style influenced by the Sahara, Morocco and Zanzibar, offering a sensuous experience with sultry shades of ochre carved walls, grand four-poster beds and filled with treasures that the owners have collected. The large candlelit baths are for sharing while the outside showers have sublime views. Enjoy your own private pool in a tropical garden overlooking the Sabie valley. Picnic along the river banks at the small waterfalls and birdwatch. Then be pampered with an aromatherapy massage or yoga session in the privacy of your lodge. Watch the sun set over Africa from the splendour of your outside daybed. Dine at night on exotic food prepared by renowned South African chefs in an exotic candlelit restaurant built on stilts. Close by there is horse riding, rafting, helicopter flips, hot-air balloon flights and abseiling, with only a short drive to the Kruger Park and Blyde River Canyon. Suggested route from Johannesburg is Witbank / Middleburg on the N4, turn off to Belfast, Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Sabie - 24km from Sabie on the R536 towards Hazyview, on your left will be a Timamoon sign, turn left onto the dirt road (3 km) and follow the Timamoon Lodge signs as well as the yellow arrows. Confirm arrival at reception
