Previously La Couronne Hotel, Mont Rochelle re-opened in October 2006 and has joined together with its historic sister winery to offer guests the ultimate wine experience. The tranquil ambience is reflected in the 16 elegant bedrooms which have spectacular views of the vineyards and mountains. Six individually decorated suites with spacious lounges and bedrooms as well as generous bathrooms are so luxurious that one cannot help wanting to stay longer. Sophisticated Mange Tout Restaurant with its stunning views complements the international cuisine, served with flair and style. At the nearby winery, The Country Kitchen serves informal Mediterranean cuisine. Meals at both are served on the terrace or indoors beside the fire, depending on the weather. Directions to Get There :
From Cape Town follow the N1 in the direction of Paarl. Take Exit 47. Turn right onto the R44 (Pass Butterfly World on the left), go across the four way stop. Turn left onto the R45 (sign posted for Franschhoek) which will take you through Klapmuts until you get to a T-junction (still the R45). Turn right onto R45 (via Simondium) towards Franschhoek. Follow the R45 through the town of Franschhoek until you see Bordeaux Street, turn right and follow the signs to Mont Rochelle. At the entrance to Mont Rochelle our security will greet you and point you in the correct direction.
