Robertson is one of those small, charming towns on Route 62 in the lush Breede River Valley that this region of the Western Cape seems to do really well.
This country town is located in the shadow of the majestic Langeberg Mountains and has the Breede River as a prominent feature flowing through it. Just 1.5 hours from Cape Town, it lies at the start of the Heart of Route 62, South Africa's answer to America's Route 66.
Robertson was established 150 years ago and today is a most attractive town with Victorian architecture, jacaranda lined streets and numerous vineyards that produce some of the country's best wines.

Boating: A top draw card for visitors to Robertson is the Viljoensdrift Boat Cruise on the Breederiver. If you want more hands on water fun try out river rafting down the Breede River - suitable for the whole family.
