The Wild Mushroom Boutique Hotel

Inspired by the textures, shapes and colours of the world of exotic mushrooms, The Wild Mushroom is a stylish elegant Boutique Hotel. A passion for classic luxury with a contemporary style is fused with a unique mushroom experience amongst vineyards and olives in the Cape Winelands, only 5 minutes from the historical town centre.

The excellent cuisine captures flavours and tastes to enhance the experience. Dating back to 1890, the original manor house has been beautifully restored. Each window offers a spectacular vista of mountains and vineyards.

All rooms differ, reflecting the visual delight and sensory experience of the world of mushrooms. Furnished with extra-length king-size beds and plasma-screen TV’s with DSTV. An iPod-friendly music centre with radio, alarm and CD player is included. Air-conditioning, underfloor heating and heated towel railings ensure maximum comfort.

Relax in the landscaped garden or at the unique Martini pool. Guests gain first-hand knowledge of exotic mushrooms in the cellar, where various varieties are cultivated by mycologist Dr Adriaan Smit, who unlocks an unknown world of interesting facts and anecdotes.
