RETREATS COLLECTION 2001 - 2002
The 12th edition of the Retreats Collection features an inspired collection
of 229 establishments. A Collection of quality guest houses, small game
lodges and uniqe self-contained hideaways in Botswana, South Africa, Swaziland
and Zambia. We welcome 70 new entries to this guide including a number of
previous participants.

BED AND BREAKFAST IN THE TOWNSHIPS
An invitation to spend a night at a home in Khayelitsha or Langa and experience
the warmth and natural hospitality of your hosts. Portfolio has visited
and selected three homes which have opened their doors to guests and extend
an arms-wide welcome and offer modest accommodation with a private or shared
bathroom. The experience is intended to offer you a realistic impression
of the townships and its peoples - their creativity, entrepreneurial spirit,
hardships, pride, hope and great sense of community. Your township hosts
