The atmosphere here is wonderfully relaxed and friendly. I could choose what I wanted to do and when, so I chose a leisurely horse ride along the ridge with views for miles over the Waterberg, and fantastic close-up encounters with giraffe and kudu. And I loved the privacy of my cottage with its cosy fireplace, waterfall shower and plunge pool.

ABOUT Ant's Hill

Ant’s Hill is owned and run by Ant and Tessa Baber, descendants of some of the earliest pioneers in the area who settled here in 1886. This unique bush home is located on a 5000 ha private game reserve, nestled in the folds of the magnificent malaria free Waterberg region of the Limpopo Province. Only three hours drive from Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport, and easy to reach via road transfers or private charters.

Ant’s Hill is hosted by a wonderful team who create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The lodge caters for a maximum of 16 guests who can expect a unique safari experience with a wide range of activities to keep everyone entertained, no matter their age or fitness levels. Enjoy fabulous game viewing in a variety of ways - guided game walks, game drives and horse riding safaris.
