ABOUT Camps Bay Retreat

Described as a “sanctuary for the soul”, this boutique hotel is one of Camps Bay’s best kept secrets. Bordering Table Mountain National Park, within four acres of lush forest and extensive gardens, where waterfalls, streams and a mountain meditation pool create a peaceful paradise.

This natural estate boasts four pools, a tennis court, spa, fine dining restaurant and a choice of accommodation, from the elegant Earl's Dyke Manor to the contemporary Deck House and The Villa.

The grand historic manor house oozes old world charm, immediately taking you back in time. High ceilings, chandeliers and beautiful artworks and rugs create a warm, plush and inviting ambience. Log fires in the lounge, library and dining room ensure its cosy in the winter months, with the terrace and gardens beckoning in summer.

Von Kamptz Restaurant offers up freshly prepared classic dishes with a modern touch, incorporating organic home grown herbs, vegetables and micro herbs. Served in the elegant dining room, allowing guests to peek into the kitchen’s soul, or out on the candle-lit terrace with the sound of waves breaking in the not too distant ocean. Choose a perfectly paired wine from the cellar to complement the occasion.

Perched above a valley and surrounded by foliage, the spa features two very special nature baths on a wooden deck, as well as a sauna, a range of treatments and massages, and a natural mountain pool just a short walk away.

Stay in the elegant Earl’s Dyke Manor, or the contemporary Deck House and The Villa, where the views reach across the Atlantic Ocean and along the Twelve Apostles mountain range. All rooms luxuriously appointed with airconditioning, tea trays and Nespresso machines, minibar, WiFi, satellite TV and DVD players.

Enjoy forest walks, hikes on Lion’s Head as well as guided walks led by the resident horticulturalist.
