GUEST FEEDBACK

An enchanting and exhilarating stay
05 Feb 2014

"Usually, it is Cape Town itself that entrances visitors from near and far with its beauty and breathtaking views. That my parents and I left this city not only with those impressions, but also with the most memorable story of one very special kind of a personal connection and the most hospitably human touch is thanks to James at Cheviot Place Guest House. The beautiful house is located just a few streets up the stadium and in walking distance to the V&A Waterfront (walk slowly and those last few steps leading up to the guesthouse will be a breeze). For those who want to go for a run along the waterfront, this is the perfect spot with its proximity to Green Point, Sea Point and however far your legs may take you. The delicious breakfast, you've preselected the night before, is prepared and served by the owner himself, accompanied by friendly, fun conversations, tips & do's for the day to come, effortless problem solving (How do you make your guests happy, who found one duvet too light and another one too heavy? You whip out a third, just perfect one! ;)) and recommendations for restaurants, which he will happily book for you. Dinner reservations, taxi transfers, tour bookings - the standard and the extraordinary - trust James' insights and enthusiasm and you will have an amazing time in Cape Town. The rooms and house itself are gorgeous and admirably tastefully decorated with fresh flowers on crisp white. We had one of the upstairs units with a beautiful view from the little balcony as well as a ground floor unit, which is perfect for the single traveler or the snug couple. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"We had a great trip to South Africa. While we were in Cape Town we stayed at Cheviot Place in Green Point. This was a great location. Just a short walk to the V&A waterfront, restaurants and the Atlantic. Our room was classy and private. James offered a great selection of breakfast options including freshly baked croissants. Wow! He gave wonderful recommendations for dinner and lunch as well as making the reservations for us and arranging transportation. Thank you James for a wonderful stay."

"James and Brooke really looked after our party. A real home from home (the only place we've revisited!) and the 2 new suites are beautiful. "
