Due to the strains of intercontinental air travel we recommend that our guests avail themselves to one of the two daily flights from O.R. Tambo International Airport directly to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport.
Refer to www.flysaa.com to book seats for this hour long flight. Elandela Lodge offers complimentary pick up and drop offs at adjacent Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport to all our guests! Eastgate Airport is a mere 7 minutes travelling time from our gate!

Our advice is to take the N4 and bypass Middelburg.
Turn of onto the R540 direction Belfast and Dullstroom - Dullstroom is a touristy stop
- over with restaurants and trendy shops
- ideal for stretching your legs.
From Lydenburg / Mashishing take the R36 to Orighstad,ascend the Drakensburg Mountains through the Strydom Tunnel.
Once you have descended from the mountains it is a straight home run to our village, Hoedspruit.
In Hoedspruit cross the bridge over the railway line in order to turn right onto the R40 at the four ways stop.
Turn left onto the Eastgate Airport road, 10 km out of town.
On the Eastgate Airport road you will find our sign board in front of the Private Security Gate indicating that you have 16 km to go in order to reach the Elandela Lodge Gate.
