ABOUT Entabeni Safari Conservancy

Entabeni Safari Conservancy, “The Place of the Mountain”, is situated in the World Heritage Waterberg Biosphere. Approximately a three hour drive north of Johannesburg, this 22 000 ha malaria-free Big Five reserve boasts five eco-systems - from the rocky upper escarpment and wide-open grass plains, 600m high cliffs and sandveld vegetation to a series of wetlands.

The wildlife experience is impressive with more than 55 mammal species, including the Big Five, and 380 bird species. Encounter the supreme wildlife of Africa with qualified rangers in open safari game viewing or on guided bush walks. Exhilarating helicopter flights with a romantic meal on a secluded mountain top and the indescribable natural beauty of the Waterberg below. Pampering and relaxation at Lakeside Beauty Spa, with golf and other adventure activities at Legend Golf & Safari.

With lodges ranging from luxurious to evocatively romantic, lakeside to safari tents, guests are spoilt for choice. Dine in a boma under a 100 year old fig tree, at the poolside, in one of the restaurants, or even in your own room in front of the fireplace. Weddings, conferences and special events for up to 300 guests are catered for.

Our stay
22 Nov 2018

"Our stay at Entabeni was truly amazing! I‘m actually lacking words to express how great it was, and it totally exceeded all our expectations! The reserve is beautiful, and it‘s such a nice thing to see how animals and nature are treated with respect and love, a pure joy for environmentalists as we are. The stuff was genuinely friendly and very sweet to our 5yo old daughter, the accomodation was supreme, the food delicious and always served with a big smile, and our ranger, Ryan Howard, was just the best part of the whole experience! We made 4 safaris, with a child, and me being pregnant in the 7th month, and he took care of us as if we’d be family members and amazed us with his knowledge and love for the animals and his cool, funny ways. We spent one of the most magical weekends in our entire lives there, and will for sure come back as soon as possible, visit it with guests from Europe and recommend it to all our friends here. A huge thanks to the whole team for the safari experience of our lives! "
