Newly renovated and beautifully decorated, Exquisite Cottage 20 is where exceptional comfort meets luxurious décor in the picturesque setting of Belvidere Estate on the banks of the famous Knysna Lagoon.
The modern, self-catering cottage offers a spacious main bedroom upstairs, complete with a King-size bed and free-standing bath. Gorgeous French doors open onto a balcony with stunning lagoon and garden views – the perfect start or end to the day. If you’re lucky, you may even spot the famed Knysna Loerie whilst sipping a glass of wine at sunset, or relaxing with a book and a cup of tea in the afternoon.
A second bedroom, with twin beds and its own adjacent bathroom (extra-large shower included), is located downstairs. The pristine, fully-equipped kitchen and beautiful dining-room area provide the perfect spaces to prepare and enjoy meals together, while the elegantly furnished lounge beckons to you to kick back and unwind. Best part is you can cosy up to the fireplace on those chilly winter days. The lounge leads out onto a large patio with comfortable seating, another ideal spot to relax and take in the peace and quiet of the surrounds.
Enjoy casual strolls through the magnificent, manicured gardens of the estate, or a refreshing dip in the communal salt water pool on hot days. The Bell Tavern is where you’ll tuck into a traditional pub lunch while sipping on a locally brewed beer, but if tea and scones are more up your alley, then the Historic Manor House is where you’ll indulge.
Belvidere’s convenient location makes exploring the many wonders of Knysna (such as The Knysna Elephant Park and Featherbed Nature Reserve, to name but a few) and the rest of the Garden Route an absolute breeze. Beach lovers will love the close proximity to two of Knysna’s best beaches: Brenton-on-Sea and Buffalo Bay. The nearby Goukamma Nature Reserve is perfect for hikes.
