Manor On The Bay was built in 1862 and later served as a summer residence for the famous Beit Family from Ireland. Today the tradition of Cape hospitality continues in this unique setting opposite the beach. A mountain stream, oak and palm trees add to the tranquillity of the unspoilt gardens which overlook the sea, with sweeping views of False Bay.
Spacious and uniquely decorated rooms have private entrances, air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar and safe. Some have fireplaces or self-catering facilities. Manor on the Bay can easily be reached from the N2. When coming from Cape Town and the Internasional Airport - drive through Somerset West and take the last turn off to your Right before Sir Lowry Pass - clearly indicating Gordon's Bay & Kleinmond ( R44 ). At the bottom of that road,turn right at the T junction and first left again into Sir Lowry Road. At the bottom, turn left into Beach Road. Carry on for 400m until you see the Black and White board of the guest house. Look out for 2 big palm trees. The guest house is 350 m passed the van Riebeeck Hotel.
When coming down the garden route from George, take the first turn off to left after the Sir Lowry Pass ( R44 to Gordon's Bay & Kleinmond) Take directions as above.
