After a welcome cup of tea and melktert with Dora on the stoep, I set off for a walk on their farm, spotting different antelope species - Springbok, Gemsbok, Bushbuck and many others. Farm style dinner and breakfast the next morning on the thatched veranda overlooking the dam fuelled me for an exciting day ahead, re-living the battles of Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift nearby.

"We thought our stay at Nxala Ranch was one of the Highlights of our trip. The Lodge is fabulous with a superb location and to be looked after by such super people as Dora and Frans was a truly memorable experience. And how Dora can cook!!!!! Nxala Ranch is definitely a place where we would like to stay again and would recommend to others. "

"We stayed her for 2 nights in January.Could not fault the accommodation or service.Food was excellent with brilliant fillet steak first night and delicious lamb chops second night. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and when the weather was a bit chilly 2nd night they light a fire to ensure that we were warm.I left some trosers and they contacted me and sent them on to were I was staying later in the holiday at no charge. A brilliant place to stay we would recommend iut to anyone"

"Dear Organisation, Ones more we have had a wonderful experience by travelling through South Africa. This was our 4th time and we took all the adresses from your booklet Portfolio, which is send to us every year. By studiing the books we came to a remote area in Kwazulu Natal and had the best stay ever in the magnificent lodge of Nxala Range where we were treated as a king by Frans and Dora. This will not be our last visit to your beautifull country.! Thanks and kind regards ,Rob and Ida van der Erve"
