There’s no hustle and bustle here, just peaceful gardens with views over the avo and banana plantation, all the way to Kruger Park, just 20 minutes away. There are only three elegant garden cottages and Ilara keeps them filled with orchids, flowers and the finest touches.

Our stay

"I, together with my wife, daughter & grandson, ended a week of self catering with a weekend stay at Plumbago. And what a splendid weekend it was!! From the first enthusiastic and warm greeting from our amazing hostess, Ilara, to the very end of our sojourn it was pure heaven. Magnificent accommodation with minute attention to detail-from the linen, to soaps and shampoo, to the decorative greenery displayed on beds, towels, a medical panic button if the need arose, sherry plus appropriate glasses strategically placed on the patio, lounge and bedrooms. Breakfast, on the colourful and peaceful patio was a beautifully presented, substantial amalgam of fruits, yogurts, cheeses, cold meats, pickles, cereals, fruit drinks, tea, coffee plus cooked if so desired. A Large TV set in the very comfortable and beautiful lounge. It is a place that has been created with love-we WILL be. Back Kind Regards Leon, NICCI, Lara & little James Nahon PS my 3 year old grand son had a most active and enjoyable stay. It is child friendly thanks to Ilara and all her family "

"We were at Plumbago for a week in Spetember and had a wonderful time. Ilara & Robby are so nice and friendly persons, that we feelt home after a some minutes. The guesthouse is in such a nice and quite area that we all, 2 adults and 2 kids, had a relaxing time. The suites are super nice and the garden is outstanding. The kids loved the dogs and they are so friendly. All over, we had a fantastic time and if we come back in the area, there is only one place to stay. Best regars Marku"
