Modern, welcoming and bright, Selkirk House is where you can experience the very best of Hermanus. With its pristine beaches, picture-book mountains and small-town charm, Hermanus is a part of the Overberg where you simply need to spend some time.
This lovely guesthouse was designed with comfort, luxury and serenity in mind. Custom built across multiple levels, it has been elegantly furnished on the inside, with indigenous water-featured landscaped gardens complementing it on the outside. There is a fireplace located in the spacious lounge, perfect for cosying up to in the winter. You then continue out on to the pool deck, complete with a Karoo stone braai area, ideal for entertaining. A covered terrace allows you to relax and enjoy the gorgeous sea views.
The upper lounge has a fully stocked bar and a large plasma screen TV, perfect for sports enthusiasts, while the sea view patio is furnished with cocktail tables, chairs and comfortable loungers. From the bar lounge a set of stairs leads to the rooftop deck with more breath-taking all round views. The library on the mountain side of the house is a peaceful spot perfect for reading while you listen to the sounds the cascading waterfalls on the patio.
Hermanus is the best land-based whale viewing place in the world, so visiting during whale season is the most ideal. There are many outdoor activities too, from fynbos hikes to shark-cage diving.
Selkirk House can be your home away from home as you revel in the tranquillity of the beautiful surrounds.
