Modest yet supremely stylish, Sweni is tucked away amongst the trees like a secret hideaway. Pops of green furnishings bring the lush surroundings inside, with the vast wildness of the Kruger Park providing the best possible playground for visitors.

ABOUT Singita Sweni Lodge

Singita Kruger National Park is found on 33,000 acres in the south eastern section of the Kruger National Park, bordering Mozambique. This exclusive concession is one of the most game rich regions in the park and is especially well-known for its high concentration of ‘Big 5’ and four formidable lion prides.

Singita Kruger National Park’s mission is to create and maintain a balance between conservation, community development, and ecotourism and the lodges have been built to honour the ‘touch the earth lightly’ philosophy.

Nestled amongst hundreds of trees at the edge of the Sweni River lies Singita Sweni Lodge, an intimate hideaway, which appears to hover in the branches. It’s close proximity to the river allows for incredible sightings of animals and birds that wander down to drink or wallow in the river.

Enjoy daily game drives with professional guides and trackers in state-of-the-art Land Rovers and get up close to Africa’s amazing animals, while on night drives you’ll be shown the elusive magic of nocturnal Africa. Walking safaris are an incredible way to experience the bush where you will be shown how to track animals on foot and discover more about the fauna of the area. During your stay at Singita Sweni lodge you can look forward to seeing elephant, leopard, lion, white and black rhino, buffalo, hippopotamus, cheetah and sable.

After enjoy exciting adventures in the African bush you can opt to enjoy some holistic, healing treatments at the Bush Spa where the tranquillity of the wilderness is translated into beautiful body treatments such as massage, polishing scrubs and nourishing masks which can be enjoyed in the comfort of your suite, out on a private deck or at the spa.

Singita is recognised as one of Africa’s most influential collectors of wine, with an extensive cellar showcasing a premium selection of wines, including some of the continent’s most sought-after private reserves. With a wine list that encompasses approximately 222 labels and 20,000 bottles, it’s safe to say that wine is a key ingredient of the unique Singita experience and personalised wine tastings within the unique ambience of each lodge’s cellar are a highlight, for connoisseurs and casual tasters alike

Singita Sweni Lodge welcomes children of all ages and older children and teenagers are especially able to appreciate the magic of a safari and learn valuable lessons to last a lifetime. All of Singita’s activities can be tailored specifically to suit the interests and desires of your family and babysitting services are available. In the interest of safety, participation by children in any game activities is at the discretion of their guide.
