Part of the River Hotels Group, Tenahead Lodge and Spa is nestled along the border with Lesotho, in a secluded region of South Africa where three mountain ranges meet, namely the Drakensberg, Witteberg and Maluti Mountains.
Built largely from natural materials sourced from the area, the luxurious lodge offers seven spacious rooms that have been stylishly yet warmly decorated, and come complete with all the comforts of home, including a mini bar, tea/coffee station, DStv and fireplace for those cold winter days. The river and mountain views from each of the rooms are magnificent and allow you to fully appreciate the beauty of your surroundings. Three delicious meals are served daily.
The area is renowned for its beautiful San rock art, as well as its unspoiled mountains, valleys and streams that provide a home for an abundance of flora and fauna. You can enjoy a host of activities such as mountain biking, hiking, horse-riding, trout fly-fishing and 4x4 adventures. You can also explore the second highest dirt pass in South Africa, the Naudes Nek Pass. Return to the lodge to relax and unwind with a pampering in-house spa treatment.
Tenahead is quite simply a “heavenly place between sky and earth” in the beautiful Eastern Cape.
