Torburnlea is a lovingly restored, family heritage home filled with atmosphere and Lowveld history. Located on the outskirts of Nelspruit in a secure lifestyle village and restful farming estate, it's owner-run, ensuring warm hospitality. Thought and passion have gone into the finest of details, with the deep shaded veranda and luxurious interiors offering a gracious respite.
There are six beautifully appointed bedrooms, two of which are the new loft rooms and most of which offer air-conditioning, fans, tea/coffee trays, WiFi, television and en-suite bathrooms. Bright and with a good mix of the modern and country chic, each room is an inviting and relaxing space - just what you need to unwind and switch off. Delicious country-style breakfasts served in the elegant dining room with home-made farm style preserves and treats are the perfect way to start your day.
Andrew and Kim Hall are fourth-generation family of the farming pioneer, HL Hall and his wife Grace who famously hosted President Jan Smuts and Sir Percy Fitzpatrick, author of the classic children’s book “Jock of the Bushveld”. Andrew relates fascinating stories and history, and as a registered safari tour operator, Torburnlea can easily arrange excursions and safaris.
Easy access from the N4 highway, the perfect base to explore Kruger National Park, Panorama Route and Blyde River Canyon. Also a gateway to Mozambique and Swaziland. Within walking distance of the Mbombela stadium and a 5-minute drive from Nelspruit’s shopping malls, restaurants and town centre. 25 minutes from the airport.
