Nothing quite prepares you for your first encounter with an elephant or a rhino when out on safari. And whether you choose to embark on a budget self-drive expedition, or a private game lodge experience where you’re heading out to view animals on an open 4x4 game viewing vehicle with a ranger and a tracker, the expressions on your children’s faces as they take in the magnificence of these and many other creatures in the bush, will be one you will treasure forever.
Children don’t need to make planning a safari difficult, and although there are many safari lodges and destinations that don’t accommodate children or who aren’t suitable, there are plenty that do, and we will happily incorporate those into your itinerary to ensure that the whole family gets to enjoy an African Safari.
Many lodges encourage families to go on safari by offering special children's clubs and activities where they can participate in mini game ranger training, arts and crafts to get educated with the wildlife and plants, cook with the chefs, special check lists for while out on safari with their own binoculars, and offer special family suited accommodation with childminding facilities with our own private vehicle and ranger for the duration of your stay. The last thing you want is to be on a vehicle with a photography fanatic who insists on long stops, which will test your children’s patience and annoy the other guests, so we’ll select the best places for your family to go on safari, and make sure that even the little ones are given the most memorable safari experience on their visit to Africa.
