Sri Sri Ravi Shankar coming to Durban and Cape Town

Sri Sri is the founder of the Art of Living Foundation (AOL) and the International Association for Human Values (IAHV). He will be in Durban on 25 August and in Cape Town 26 – 28 August 2012 to conduct a public events as well as a meditation course.

The visit to Cape Town comes as the Art of Living prepares to open an International Centre for Peace in Cape Town – the first in Africa. Sri Sri’s vision is that the center will help promote “a wave of peace that will spread throughout Africa”. On his last visit, Sri Sri addressed thousands of participants when he was invited as an honoured guest to address the culmination of South Africa’s year-long “Satyagraha 100” celebrations by the national and provincial governments which honoured Gandhi’s passive resistance campaign.

Public events

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is known as one of the most inspirational speakers and has captivated diverse audiences across the globe. In India he frequently addresses gatherings of at least 100 000 at a time. The public events with Sri Sri in Durban and Cape Town is an opportunity for the public learn from this profoundly wise soul who shares very practical ways to live a content life, being harmonious in diversity and even adversity. There will also be an interactive question and answer session with Sri Sri.
