Touted as the most authentic cultural festival in South Africa, the Williston Winter Festival is a unique event that draws crowds to the Northern Cape Karoo at the start of every spring.
If you're heading Karoo-wards to enjoy the wildflowers, you'd do well to tie in your plans with the Williston Winter Festival for an unforgettable South African cultural experience.
Entertainment includes a variety of local and well known talents, and there will be plenty of stalls selling delicious Karoo food. But the highlight of the whole event is the dust-raising Nama Riel dance, performed by over 100 'rieldancers'.
The festival celebrates the fascinating, unique talents, customs and landscape of the Northern Cape Karoo.
