This natural World Heritage Site and home to one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature is a haven of magnificent mountains plunging into crystal seas fringed with the white sands of the Cape Peninsula. The park stretches from Signal Hill in the north to Cape Point in the south, and is also home to the world’s smallest, yet most diverse, floral kingdom - the Cape Floristic Region.

  • Cape of Good Hope (Cape Point) – soak in the spectacular view from the most south-western point in Africa, enjoy exquisite cuisine at the Two Oceans Restaurant or get off the beaten track by exploring the myriads of trails and beautiful beaches.
  • Table Mountain Aerial Cableway – catch the rotating cable car to the summit of Table Mountain and relish the spectacular vistas. The restaurant on top offers a range of mouth-watering meals.
  • Boulders Penguin Colony – take a walk along the boardwalk and observe the endangered African penguin in its natural environment or get up close and personal with them on Boulders Beach.
  • Signal Hill and Lion’s Head – join the hundreds who climb Lion’s Head for the awe-inspiring views, or drive to the top of Signal Hill for a picnic with a remarkable backdrop of Cape Town.
  • Oudekraal – a favourite of locals wanting to picnic or braai by the sea. You’ll need to get there early to grab your spot. The boulder-filled beach and calm waters are a kid’s delight.


There are also a number of wonderful places for overnight getaways within the park including comfortable tented camps in remarkable locations; quaint cottages inside the Cape of Good Hope section; the historic Wash Houses, also popular for small events; and the Overseers Mountain Cottage right on top of the mountain.
